Feghali records Villa-Lobos with the Nashville Symphony

 In March 2004, José Feghali performed and recorded Villa-Lobos' Bachianas Brasileiras no.3 with the Nashville Symphony, Kenneth Schermerhorn conducting. The recording is part of a set of all nine Bachianas Brasileiras on the Naxos label. Click the link below for more details.



Feghali appointed Artistic Advisor of the Texas Chamber Orchestra.

José Feghali has been appointed Artistic Advisor of the Texas Chamber Orchestra for the 2003/2004 season and will be performing with them as both pianist/director and conductor. Programs for this season will include concerti by Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven's Triple concerto, as well as several orchestra works.  


Feghali joins Anacapa Music as Vice-President and Executive Producer

José Feghali has joined the Anacapa Music label and will serve as Executive Producer and Vice-President. Feghali and Ron Moore, Anacapa Music's founder and CEO, have planned several exciting recordings for the upcoming season. They plan to release two recordings and start production on three more before in the spring of 2006.


"Feghali and Friends" at the Cliburn Concerts series

In his second appearance at the Cliburn Concerts series in the 2001/2002 season, José Feghali appeared at Bass Performance Hall in Fort Worth in May for an evening of fun and diversity with some of his musical "friends", including pianist André Watts. Feghali and Vickers perform Enoch Arden

In January 2002, Jon Vickers and José Feghali again performed Richard Strauss' melodrama "Enoch Arden" at the Esther Honens Concert series in Calgary, Canada and at the Cliburn Concerts series in Fort Worth. Mr. Vickers and Mr. Feghali also performed Enoch Arden at the Ravinia Festival 2000 and the Wigmore Hall in London in 2001, to great critical acclaim. This performance marked Jon Vickers first appearance in London since retiring from the concert stage.


Feghali performs with Berlin Radio Symphony

In October 2001, José Feghali performed Schumann's Piano Concerto and Beethoven's Concerto no.1 in C major with the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra in São Paulo, Brazil, in a series of concerts under the baton of Marek Janowski.


Feghali steps in for Eschenbach in one of three diverse appearances at the Ravinia Festival


In late July of 2000, Brazilian pianist and Cliburn gold-medalist José Feghali made three diverse appearances at the Ravinia Festival.

In the first, he collaborated with legendary singer Jon Vickers in Strauss’s rarely performed melodrama Enoch Arden. The second performance was a solo recital, including works of Beethoven, Chopin and Schumann.

Feghali also performed Beethoven’s Piano Concerto no. 1 with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Christoph Eschenbach. Maestro Eschenbach, originally scheduled as conductor and soloist, invited Mr. Feghali to replace him at the piano on 2 days notice.
